Our Creative Process

Define
This is the information-gathering phase where we learn everything we can about your project, your company, audience, specifications, requirements, and schedules. We pinpoint your objectives and expectations and understand how you will measure the success of our efforts.

Activities may include:

  • Review of project brief, requirements, and deadlines
  • Explore existing background information (e.g. surveys, competitive research)
  • Create project schedule, refine creative processes
  • Interviews with key internal stakeholders, and/or external audiences
  • Dive deeper into current strategies, offerings, and future plans
  • Uncover assumptions for internal or external validation
  • Conduct competitive analysis to determine best practices
  • Additional research if needed (e.g. focus groups, online surveys, contextual research)
Develop
Once we have learned and gathered as much information we can about you, we begin figuring out how everything will fit together (e.g. features, functions, behavior).

Activities may include:

  • Conduct internal and/or external ideation workshops
  • Develop customer experience maps
  • Create persona profiles as user representations
  • Explore, create, and analyze user journeys
  • Develop information and/or site architectures
  • Create wireframes and/or prototypes
  • Validation & testing throughout this phase
Design
This is where the fun really begins. We lead our clients through the entire creative process from preliminary design, semi-final design, final design, and fully executed deliverables.

Activities may include:

  • Development of preliminary designs, semi-final designs, and final designs
  • Validation and testing at specific design stages
  • Client reviews and approvals throughout process
  • Generally 2-3 change periods included at scheduled intervals
  • Validation & testing throughout this phase
Deliver
This is where you determine whether or not the design achieves the desired effect or experience with your targeted audience and users.

Activities may include:

  • Final designs delivered and confirmed
  • Client follow-up discussions at scheduled intervals
